Apple Ipad versus Samsung Galaxy Tab (Negative publicity = positive marketing)

It won’t be a hyperbole if you say that both of these products highlight few of the best marketing techniques. Apple product is definitely an 'apple of my eye'. But is it just the user interface and graphics that would mark a line between these two products. The real fight is between Android and iOS(apple OS): Android being open-source certainly drives peoples interest. "It is not an open source system", from a non technical point, majority of the users may not even care until and unless that are getting good and required applications but a techie user always looks for such things, he is always looking forward to an up-gradation.

Samsung Supplies Apple With iPad Displays
It came to me like a bolt from the blue when I heard that it is Samsung that supplied all the iPad displays to the Apple, and what was more shocking was Apple suing Samsung for copying iPhones and iPads.
Now the major question that arises is HOW & WHY WOULD APPLE SUE SAMSUNG WHEN THEY THEMSELVES ARE PURCHASING THEIR DISPLAYS FROM SAMSUNG. With the increase technology trend I am sure that at a point it is inevitable to create exactly different display features especially when both the companies are using the same display. Isn’t it bound to happen that at some point both of these features would converge and meet or probably be competition to each other??
Do you think all this ‘sue’ drama could probably be an advertisement stunt? We only believe what we see!! And this is one of the best marketing techniques that a person could use. Creating hype in the society by all means is the best advertising technique. It is by far a tested means and I think in particular this is what connects people. Atleast in my friend circle this news had spread like a fire in the jungle, and same is true for all the social media sites like facebook and linkedin and other various sites. This event throws light upon the significance of negative publicity. I am sure Apple suing Samsung didn’t affect Samsung’s brand name rather it gave a hike to their product as it is much cheaper as compared to Apple’s products. The main aim of this production was entirely to increase the awareness! How can you accomplish anything until and unless people know what you are trying to do?
